SF Generic 905 - Purple CUI label/stickers without "U.S. Government"

SF 901 CUI Cover sheet, Standard Form 901 (11-2018) Cover Sheet

• Includes 2 coversheet notepads

32 CFR 2002.20(a)(8) states that, “When it is impractical for an agency to individually mark CUI due to quantity or nature of the information, authorized holders must make recipients aware of the information's CUI status using an alternate marking method that is readily apparent.” This affords authorized holders with considerable flexibility in marking CUI, but does not change the fundamental obligation to ensure the information is marked as CUI and contains necessary marking elements.

The guidance in CUI NOTICE 2020-3  clarifies the elements such alternative marking methods must still include and provides additional details for making use of some alternative methods. In a manner that is readily apparent to users and recipients, all alternate marking methods must:

(1) Include a CUI designation indicator (as described in 32 CFR 2002.20(d)) and the DoD CUI Marking Aid, DOPSR20-S-2093.

(2) Convey the information’s status as CUI.

(3) List any CUI Specified categories contained in the document or transmission.

(4) Convey any applicable distribution statements or limited dissemination control marking.

(5) Convey any special handling, marking, or dissemination requirements called for by the underlying law, regulation, or Government-wide policy related to the CUI Specified category.

Authorized holders may use alternate marking methods when transmitting CUI to external entities. If using alternate marking methods, Authorized holders do not have to place CUI markings in banners or as described in the CUI Marking Handbook or DoD CUI Marking Aid, DOPSR20-S-2093. In lieu of applying CUI markings as described in the New DoD CUI Marking Training Aid or DOPSR25-P-0275, Authorized holders may instead apply a statement that includes or addresses all of the elements described above. The Authorized holder may use the CUI Coversheet (Standard Form 901), transmittal documents, or emails to satisfy the marking and identification requirements when using alternate marking methods. In such cases, the Authorized holder does not have to mark attachments or enclosures.

Utilizing 32 CFR 2002.20, SF 901 Cover Sheet is the best practice to protect printed CUI from inadvertent disclosure. 

You can print these yourself but most machines, particularly rented laser printers will cost you more per full-color copy. Let us do it for you! 

A list of categories, special instructions, points of contact and basic information is listed to provide user/s with ease of tracking documents during job duties SF 901 can be used in place of marking banners when documents cannot be altered or helpful when there is limited space at the top of a document or form 100 cover sheets per pad size of each cover sheet 8.5" x 11" As seen in DODCUI.mil

SF 901 Cover Sheet (PDF Writer) - SF 901 forms are in most cases a best practice for marking documents. This is extremely valuable in a production environment where these cover sheets can be seen from a long distance away. In some cases CUI documents have prohibitions against adding any markings to them. In these cases, cover sheets are necessary. By having a version you can populate and fill yourself allows you to prepopulate many of the blanks that never change and produce them on demand.
